A Day in the Studio
The studio is quiet in the morning, with sunlight spilling across my desk.
I start by checking yesterday’s creations — a Toast Cream Bear, a Magic Cat, maybe a new Special Key prototype.
Each piece has its little personality, and I like to take a moment to notice it.
Clay and pigments are scattered across the table.
Some colors mix unexpectedly, and sometimes a tiny detail isn’t quite perfect.
But that’s the magic of making things by hand — every little imperfection tells a story.
I spend hours shaping, painting, and baking keycaps,
sometimes pausing to sip tea and watch the light change.
It’s slow work, but it’s a kind of meditation — a way to stay present.
By afternoon, I take the first photos for the day’s creations.
A Cream Bear on a keyboard, a Magic Cat catching the sunlight,
or a Special Key ready to brighten someone’s desk.
I love seeing them in their tiny world, ready to go to someone else’s hands.
The day winds down with cleaning, organizing, and planning for tomorrow.
It’s a quiet rhythm — filled with small joys, patience, and care.
Every day in the studio reminds me why I started Oai Studio:
to create small moments of comfort for others, one keycap at a time.
