Sketching the Purest Magic

STAGE 01: THE CONCEPTION

Lumi was born from my fascination with the mystical and healing nature of cats. In my initial sketches, I imagined a kitten as white as fresh snow, clutching a glowing magic orb—as if she were a tiny sprite born from the aurora. I repeatedly refined her round face and focused gaze, striving to capture the natural innocence of a white kitten and the sense of purpose she feels while guarding the "magic" beneath your fingertips.

Sculpting the Glow & Fur

STAGE 02: THE DIGITAL ENCHANTMENT

Translating Lumi’s spirited energy into a 3D model was the key to the creation. Using 3D digital modeling, I meticulously sculpted the kitten’s rounded silhouette and her alert, tiny ears. The real challenge was making the magic orb look energized in a digital space; through precise 3D color mapping, I designed dreamlike, flowing tones for the sphere, ensuring Lumi’s embrace felt both natural and endearingly clumsy, as only a kitten’s can be.

The Final Touch of Whiteness & Wonder

STAGE 03: THE HAND-FINISHED GLOW

Every printed Lumi returns to my hands for meticulous hand-finishing. I sand her body to achieve a delicate, matte texture as soft as a white kitten's fur. Then, I add a crystal-clear luster to the surface of the magic orb, allowing it to reflect a captivating shimmer under the light. Finally, as I paint Lumi’s spirited eyes, she seems to breathe to life, ready to begin a gentle, magical journey right on your keyboard.

Material & Handling

This keycap is made from resin, not ordinary plastic.
Resin allows for fine details and soft colors, but it is more delicate than standard keycap materials. Please handle gently and avoid drops or strong impact.

Compatibility

Designed for mechanical keyboards with Cherry MX–style cross stems.
Not compatible with low-profile switches, capacitive keyboards, membrane keyboards, or laptop keyboards.
