Capturing the Sleepy Sighs

STAGE 01: THE VISION

This collection was born from a desire to freeze-frame the most peaceful moment in the Chiikawa world: nap time. I spent hours studying the specific curves of their sleeping faces—Hachiware’s gentle mouth, Chiikawa’s protective grip on its bear, and Usagi’s restless energy even in sleep. The goal was to create more than a keycap; it was to build a 2U sanctuary of serenity for your keyboard.

Defying Gravity on a Cloud Bed

STAGE 02: THE SCULPTING

The challenge lay in the "Cloud Bed." To achieve that fluffy, weightless look within the structural limits of a 2U Backspace, I used 3D digital sculpting to layer the soft "puffs" of the cloud. This stage allowed me to position all three characters in a seamless flow, ensuring that Hachiware’s paci and Usagi’s star were integrated perfectly into the color map before the 3D printing began.

STAGE 03: THE REFINEMENT

Polishing the Dreamlight
Once the 3D color printing is complete, the "dream" is still raw. I then transition to meticulous hand-finishing, where I softly sand the cloud’s edges to give them a satin-like touch. I use a fine-tipped brush to touch up the rosy cheeks and the tiny stars, ensuring the colors feel soft and diffused, rather than digital. When you press this key, it should feel as gentle as a sigh—a hand-refined piece of magic at your fingertips.

This keycap is made from resin, not ordinary plastic.
Resin allows for fine details and soft colors, but it is more delicate than standard keycap materials. Please handle gently and avoid drops or strong impact.

Compatibility

Designed for mechanical keyboards with Cherry MX–style cross stems.
Not compatible with low-profile switches, capacitive keyboards, membrane keyboards, or laptop keyboards.
